Audrey Azoulay, Minister of Culture and Communication, has awarded 28 exhibitions of France’s museums in the regions, the prestigious label of «Exhibition of National Interest» for the year 2017.
Created by the Ministry of Culture and Communication, the label «Exposition d'intérêt national» highlights and supports remarkable exhibitions organized by museums in France.
It rewards an innovative museum approach, a novel thematic approach, scenography and mediation devices that give new reading keys to the most varied audiences.
These “Exhibitions of National Interest” are part of the Ministry of Culture and Communication’s priority for cultural dissemination and democratization. They highlight diverse and original events that reflect the richness and variety of the collections of the 1220 museums in France.
They participate in the ministerial policy of territorial action and in the accompaniment by the State of the communities carrying demanding and innovative projects. Exceptional grants are awarded to selected projects.
