Maurice Frydland chose television, the mainstream media par excellence, to express his view of contemporary society.
He had founded the Rencontres Internationales de Télévision de Reims, creating a space for dialogue that was then unprecedented.
Passionate about the image, but also the story, Maurice Frydland has long sailed between fiction and documentary. In 1982 he will become one of the first series directors of which he will be one of the pioneers of the genre, including "The Mysterious Cornelius Doctor" or "The Black Pin" and will continue with talent until the "Nestor Burma".
I extend my sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
