Quotas defend francophone artists and promote musical diversity. We are all deeply committed to it and they are one of the essential features of the cultural exception. We must act on supply to act on demand, not the other way around.
New provisions regarding radio quotas for French-language songs were adopted in the National Assembly as part of the review of the Bill on Creation, Architecture and Heritage (CASL), in order to strengthen them by promoting a greater diversity of titles broadcast.
