On the proposal of Aurélie Filippetti, Minister of Culture and Communication, Guy Cogeval is reappointed as president of the museums of Orsay and Orangerie, by decree of the President of the Republic dated March 15, 2013.
During the five years of his previous mandate, Guy Cogeval worked to make the Musée d'Orsay a decisive player in the promotion of French culture worldwide, especially in emerging countries such as Brazil, Korea, Singapore, Mexico
This first mandate was also marked by important transformations that will give birth to a gallery of impressionists entirely refurbished, 2000m² of additional spaces and a new stage dedicated to temporary exhibitions.
