Audrey Azoulay, Minister of Culture and Communication, has approved the appointment of Célia Deliau as director of the Public Institution of Cultural Cooperation Pôle national du cirque d'Amiens, which brings together the Cirque Jules Verne, the Hangar dedicated to street arts and the Jules Verne Circus School.
In full agreement with Alain Gest, President of the Communauté d'agglomération d'Amiens Métropole, and on the proposal of Nathalie Devèze, President of the Public Institution for Cultural Cooperation, in charge of the Cluster, this appointment was voted by the Board of Directors
Aged 40, currently at the head of the National Scene of Le Creusot, Célia Deliauproposes a project entitled «Stimulate the imagination» that pays special attention to the public, children and youth, especially around «companion artists» circus and street arts.
She intends to develop the international influence of the institution and will ensure that she accompanies the new generation of artists by setting up an «incubator» to promote their professional integration at the end of higher education. Célia Deliaumaune active policy of artist residencies in partnership with many structures at the metropolitan and regional level.
In November, she will succeed Jean-Pierre Marcos, to whom the Minister wishes to pay tribute for her action in favour of the artistic and cultural life of the region and especially in favour of circus and street arts.
